The following EPDM flat roof installation (mechanically attached) can be laid directly over the felt if the flat roof decking is not water damaged and is in sound level condition. Not removing flat roof felt saves time and money. This was installed by our flat roof company, but can equally be fitted by any "do it yourself" enthusiast. The roof is first swept clean of all dirt, debris and loose chippings making sure no nails or sharp edges are present.		Flat roof felt is removed from the perimeter edges. New batten upstands are fitted to the non-gutter edges.

A layer of non-woven geo textile (BIDIM) is then laid over the roof area and covered with an EPDM grid which is fastened to the roof with plates and woodscrews.		A one piece membrane sheet is adhered directly to the grid with seam adhesive. Flat roof edge trims fitted to all non-gutter edges. EPDM fold over into the flat roof gutter.
